Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers play a critical role at Dorcas Place providing the individual attention our students require to succeed. We always need new volunteers to work as one-on-one tutors, class room aides or after school program assistants.
Our volunteer positions include:
| Tutor |

Tutor small groups or individual students in math, reading, writing, and learning English.

Help needed during the day and the evening for at least two hours a week.

| Clothing Collaborative |

Help answer the telephone, schedule appointments, process clothing donations and assist clients in selection of work outfits.

Help needed during the day.

After School
|

Assist in the Child Opportunity Zone (COZ) afterschool program at the Alfred Lima Elementary School in Providence. Second, third and fourth graders work onhomework and play games

Help needed Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Summer Volunteer
|
- Assist staff in working with elementary school children. High school students welcome!!!
