RI Welcome Back Center Community Resource Development Matrix

"Thank you for helping to provide support and service to the following internationally trained professionals in Rhode Island: Physicians, Nurses, Physical Therapists and Social Workers."

Personal or Organizational Opportunity	Description
Offer Workshops We offer workshops on a variety of topics that you may choose from. You will find workshop list attached to this Matrix.	Complete facilitator notes The intensity and duration may vary depending on facilitator. Suggested time: 2 - 4 hrs.
Provide Motivational Lectures These may be based on your personal experience as it relates to your current profession.	Lectures will be structured by you in collaboration with the WBC Staff. Approximate time: 1.5 to 2 hours
Moderate Study Groups Study group by profession; having a moderator for these sessions increases productivity.	Sessions are ongoing Moderate on an ongoing basis, or for just a few sessions. Each session runs for approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.
Conduct Institutional Tour Hosting a tour of a health facility is an option for persons who represent a health institution.	The tours will be arranged by you, in collaboration with the WBC staff. The allotted time will be set by you
Provide Job Shadowing Opportunity Participants can obtain exposure to the US Health Care System, observing a profession similar to theirs, in the US.	WBC participant can shadow someone that currently works in the health field. Time: Open
Provide Mentoring One-on-one support and mentoring of our participants, preferably pairing up professionals in similar fields of study.	Internationally trained health professionals would benefit from the advice and guidance of a professional trained in the US that is in a profession similar to theirs.
